James trained in practice before leading finance across sport, media and tech — and has been a founder himself. He now works directly with clients on the numbers that matter: pricing, runway and getting investor-ready.

Partner
Deepa runs the firm day to day. ACCA qualified, she trained inside businesses before moving into practice, so she has seen the books from both sides. Her starting point is the business, not the books. First she learns how you work, then she takes the numbers off your desk so your best hours go to your biggest ideas.
Marc Obrart
Co-founder
Marc spent his early career as an accountant, then 15 years as a CFO building finance functions for fast-growing businesses — where he saw first-hand how broken accountancy had become. Five years as a founder taught him exactly what founders need. Startup Accountancy is how he’s fixing it.
